Although Virtually Reality needs to be experienced to fully understand what it is, it generally is described as a computer-generated reality that enables you to experience a new world through the stimulation of your physical, visual, and auditory senses. Or simply…. It’s a really cool simulation of a new reality that blows your mind!
Totally! VR is not just for playing games (although that is the biggest reason). You can see places you have never been to, challenge your skills at aiming/throwing, build a new universe, or bring out your hidden artistic side. There are many experiences to choose and more are being added. VR is intuitive for younger kids as well as older adults.
Although it is rare to experience motion sickness while using high-end VR systems, it is still possible during a motion-related simulation. Should you feel uneasy at any time during your experience, please remove your headset and inform a member of our Team promptly.
Most likely! The HTC Vive headset is built to accommodate small-framed glasses. We recommend that guests wear contact lenses if possible to maximize your experience. There are also manual adjustments that can be made for focus and lens separation.
The VR Hut takes pride in keeping our equipment clean. We wipe down the equipment after each session using a mild, non-alcoholic, anti-bacterial disinfectant
You must be a minimum of 18 to sign the waiver. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to have a Parent/Guardian sign the waiver. We welcome guests of all ages although for anyone under the age of 14 we require an adult to be present for supervision during the session. Younger guests may not have an optimal experience due to the size and weight of the headset but are still welcome to try it out.
There is a recommended minimum height of 48 inches (122 cm) to have an ideal experience. This is due to the size and weight of the headset and the ability to use and maneuver the controllers within the station.
While almost everyone can enjoy an experience in VR, there could be some instances where you may want to consult a doctor before beginning. This could include, but is not limited to, existing medical conditions such as a heart ailments, psychiatric conditions (such as anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc.), or if you are pregnant or elderly. Additionally, you should refrain from an experience in VR if you are sick, under the influence of intoxicants/drugs, and/or are not generally feeling well. We want you to have the most enjoyable experience possible. Please seek medical advice for any of the above or other conditions before your experience.
Most definitely! There are several experiences where you can be immersed into a world with your friends in other Pods. You will be able to see the other Avatar’s actions which allows for simultaneous interaction. VR can be a very social experience.
Although touching a wall is possible, the VR systems we use have a built in safeguard. This is a holographic image of a wall that will indicate to you that a physical wall is present and will guide you during your experience.
Stuff happens! We get it. We want to be as accommodating as possible for when last minute obstacles come up. This is why we offer:
- a 100% refund with at least 24 hours notice
For less than 24 hours of notice we are unable to offer any refund.
We ask that you make a reservation for all experiences. This ensures you have a spot available for your preferred time. We welcome walk-ins although Pods are subject to availability. Please visit our booking page to proceed with the reservation of your experience.
Please arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled experience. In order to maintain scheduling for all our guests, your briefing session will begin promptly. A late arrival could impact the length of your experience.
We can accommodate private group bookings outside of normal business hours or group bookings during regular business hours. Please contact us for more details.
We request that you do not bring food or drinks into The VR Hut. If you would like to have water (because you may be working hard), it needs to be secured in a spill-proof bottle and kept out of the VR Pod due to the sensitive equipment.
You are responsible for any personal items you bring to your experience as we do not have lockers available. If it is a small item such as a phone or a purse, you can safely place it in the corner of your Pod and it should not interfere with your VR experience.
